Dear Herders,

Some of you are new subscribers who have just arrived to this literary newsletter. Others of you have been here since the fall of 2019, when it first began. You might be wondering, “What is happening with The Herd?!”*

The Herd began as a literary experiment: how much of a mutually-supportive community could we form online—together—as artists, caretakers, teachers, nonprofit leaders, philosophers, gardeners, grandparents, journalists, and more?

To date, 30 issues of The Herd have been shared with over 160 Herders. THIS is something to celebrate! YOU are someone to celebrate!

As many things come to an end, so must The Herd. I have a few transitions ahead—geographically and philosophically—and this feels like a natural time to honor what The Herd has been. I am grateful for each of you who have taken your time to subscribe, to read, and to partake in The Herd. Shine on.

Feel free to comment below on how the people or the stories in The Herd influenced you. Or perhaps peruse the featured artists and choose a fabulous person to support, follow, or share your gratitude with for their art. Those actions go a long way.
