As many things come to an end, so must The Herd. I’ve felt a growing need to recalibrate my relationship to the passage of time, to the arts, to teaching, to my busy lifestyle, and more. I am grateful for each of you who have taken your time to subscribe, to read, and to partake in The Herd.

Holiday Fundraiser Has Ended—With Success
We announced at Thanksgiving that 100% of net proceeds from Creosote Press’s sales through December would be donated to the Dolores Huerta Foundation—and we followed through!

This December, we celebrate the collaborative poetry of Karla Brundage and Allison Francis with their latest book, “Mulatta—Not so Tragic?” Kelly Alsup also offers her first literature review with The Herd.

Since 2018, The Herd has been celebrating fabulous artists who rock this world awake. These painters, sculptors, performers, dancers, printmakers, and more, are all about experimenting and offering new paradigms with their words, ideas, and collaborations..
The Herd: Two-Year Retrospective
Looking at the next year, I hope The Herd can grow as an online space for creative recharge, for thought exchange, and for interdisciplinary sparks. We will continue with bimonthly issues and are always open to your feedback!
