Dear Herders,

How are you?

Do you believe in the work and the art you do?

If so: keep doing it. Keep doing your part.

And in the meantime, thank you for your patience with The Herd. It is true: The Herd has not been bimonthly lately, but in my defense, time is a social construct.

For people who call the San Francisco/North Bay home, here are some things I’ve had cooking.

.

🌞 Check It Out:

1) Aqus Cafe has letterpress art all over the walls, all March through May. Fellow Herder James Freed has his art in this show, as well as other printers with the North Bay Letterpress Arts. (Petaluma, CA)

2) Julia Rigby’s sculptural giants & my poetry are in conversation at Orange County’s Center for Contemporary Art. Check it out any time during the month of April. For this exhibit, we are one of six related artist pairs for the theme “Genetically United.” (Orange County, CA)

3) It’s always a joy to connect over poetry and this class was no exception. Thank you to fellow Herders Kaitlyn Speese and Alex Diederich (as well as the 15 additional writers) who partook in a six-week poetry course in collaboration with The Loft Literary Center. What an adventure. Thank you all.

4) My manuscript “Moonscape for a Child has been picked up by Bored Wolves for release in 2023. Bored Wolves is a small press based in the highlands of Poland. (Stay tuned).

5) Do you like to stare at art and write about it? This is for you.

🌞 That’s it for now.

Keep writing, creating, and doing your best.
